Case Study: Brand Identity for Hotel Sagar

In this case study, we will explore the process of creating a brand identity for Hotel Sagar, an affiliated establishment of the renowned Sagar Ratna restaurant chain in Guwahati, India. The aim was to design a logo, a banner, and a menu card that would reflect the essence of the hotel while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.

Logo Design: Capturing the Tropical Feel

The first step in creating the brand identity for Hotel Sagar was designing a logo that would convey the tropical vibe of the establishment. The logo needed to be visually appealing, memorable, and representative of the hotel's unique character.

The logo features a combination of vibrant colors and tropical elements. The use of shades of green and blue evokes a sense of nature and tranquility, while the incorporation of palm trees and waves adds a tropical touch. The font used for the hotel name is clean and modern, balancing the organic elements of the logo.

Big Banner: Showcasing Food and Hotel Rooms

The next challenge was to design a big banner (345x257 inches) that would be visually striking and different from the logo. The banner needed to showcase both the delectable food offerings and the comfortable hotel rooms available at Hotel Sagar.

To achieve this, we decided to create a collage-style banner that combines images of the mouthwatering dishes served at the hotel's restaurant and the inviting ambiance of the hotel rooms. The collage features a variety of food items, from traditional Indian delicacies to international cuisine, appealing to a wide range of tastes.

The images of the hotel rooms highlight the comfort and luxury that guests can expect during their stay at Hotel Sagar. By combining these two elements, the banner creates a visual narrative that entices potential customers to experience both the culinary delights and the hospitality of the hotel.

Backlit Menu Card: Aesthetic Design for the Restaurant

In addition to the logo and the banner, we also designed a backlit menu card (32x36 inches) for the restaurant at Hotel Sagar. The menu card needed to be visually appealing and easy to read, while also reflecting the overall brand identity.

We opted for a clean and modern design, with a focus on showcasing the delicious food options available. The menu card features the dishes, accompanied by concise descriptions and prices. The use of a backlit display enhances the visual appeal of the menu card, making it stand out in the restaurant.

The color scheme of the menu card is a little different from the overall brand identity, with shades of yellow and orange. The font used is legible and complements the modern aesthetic of the design.
